Blue Dragon Kennels Alaska can put a puppy on a plane with several different Airlines with a 1 day notice and a health certificate must be obtained for the pup to be put on a plane. The costs involved include the cost of shipping cargo with the Airline, a portable kennel and an airline required health certificate provided by a Veterinarian. Vet cost may include a rabies shot if the pup is 3 months old or more. (We will personally put everything together for you and put the pup on the plane.)
We prefer to use Continental Airlines for their pet safe program and price. If we can use this airline to get the pup to you the total cost of shipping will average 325 dollars Nationwide, additional charges above this amount would be if a plane layover is more then 3 hours. A lay over will add a day boarding fee of 75 dollars and if the pup is over the age of 3 months a rabies vaccination charge will also be included. All other airlines will charge between 350 dollars to 475 dollars depending on what Coast of the US you live on and temperature restrictions may apply. Again with all other airlines an additional charge may apply if the pup has to be boarded.
