This is for both breeding and NON breeding BDA dogs. We want all of our offspring in the data base for visitors to see and hear about. Visitors are asked to rate and tell us what they like about each dog. Visitors will be able to email comments that can be posted by the webmaster and be sent to you. We just want you to share and participate with the community regardless if you choose to breed or not. Join BDA NWBP A,B,C’s…….. For ONLY BLUE DRAGON ALASKA OFFSPRING. That is defined as a dog/pup with both parents of a Blue Dragon Alaska dog as well. 1-Provide your current profile and contact information on your dog and family. Tell us if you would like to be a breeder or non-breeder. (If you have more then one BDA dog please set up two separate accounts.) 2-Email a write up about your dog, pros and con’s. 3-Email or mail in photo’s and video of your BDA dog and include images with other pets in the house, with the family, your dog actively doing things he/she likes to do and it is fun for the viewer to see images that they can relate to. Bad dog, good dog, love dog, fun dog… 4- Update your photos, video and text a couple times or more a year. 5- We encourage you to join the BDA only Face Book account so that all BDA owners can communicate and share about the dogs. Visitors to the website can view and read the Face Book but not be apart of the Main News Feed of Members.
Thinking about being a BDA to BDA breeder? - 6- If you choose to be available for breeding or stud you will be listed as such in the data base, but you are not obligated to accept any offers to breed. You make the final decision to pair up with who you want with in the BDA pairing choices. You should watch the data base grow and view possible matches. BDA may ask you to consider certain pairing and make suggestions. BDA will also have you analyze the tree of your chosen pairings for what traits you are aiming for to come out with in your pups. 7- Before your first litter you will need to put your dogs DNA on file and micro chip your Dam or Sire.
8- When you pair up, plan and have a BDA to BDA litter. Blue Dragon Alaska will promote, advertise, market and have a goal to have your litter sold before the pups are born. The adults will be a regularly viewed via the data base and Face Book and the litter will be posted on the Breeding Data Base and all pup photos and video will be posted on your litters profile Puppy Purchase Represented Pages. 9- Payment Dispersed for litters sold. What if a Dam or Sire owner want a pup in lue of payment from one of their own litters? Sire – The Sires owner will find a veterinarian that can collect a specimen and send the specimen overnight to the Dam waiting for her next day insemination. During the course of impregnating the Dam the paired Sire will need to be collected 2-3 times during the course of a 5 to 10 day span. When funds are collected from the sales of the successful litter BDA will pay the Sire owner 1500 dollars. If you stud with in BDA a test will be done to check your male for , this is a venereal disease that is found among dogs and will cause both males and females to become sterile. If you choose to stud outside of BDA it is the best interest for your dog to be collected and the female inseminated. Dam- BDA will be advertising and marketing the expecting to on the ground litter. Buyers will fill out the required question form for both BDA and Dam owner to review. BDA will collect funds and keep their BDA commissions, pay the Sire stud fee and pay remaining balance to the Dam owner. Dam owner will find a veterinarian that can test her cell progress and be able to receive the Sires specimen to inseminate their Dam. The Dam will most likely see the veterinarian 2-3 times. BDA will provide the funds for these veterinarian visits for the inseminations and BDA will need copies of visit outcomes to clarify their pregnancy. And if your female has been bred before she will have to be tested for the venereal disease . When pups are born it will be the Dams owners that will provide BDA with individual photos of each pup with overall litter video at 10 days, 3 weeks, 5 weeks, 7 and 9 weeks. Video of the litter together will be needed at the 5, 7 and 9 weeks. BDA will provide instructions to Dam owner to make reservations, travel health certificates and cargo needs. BDA will have Dam owner in direct contact with pup owners to provide and confirm all shipping information or directions for the new pup owners. If pups are shipped the new owner can mail shipping funds directly to Dam owner. If BDA accepts cards on shipping 15% will be added due to merchant fees, but is an option. A litter born of a healthy female inseminated with verily specimens will produce 6-12 puppies. Puppies will sell between 1500 and 1000 dollars, ribbon winners will be higher. BDA chooses two B.C. pups before deposit holders and prices them at 2400 dollars or more. BDA’s commission is 15% of sales and the two B.C. pups. The Sire will receive his 1,500 stud fee and the remaining balance goes to Dams owner. (Approximate Dam payout examples for Dam owner with-out keeping a pup out of the litter- 6 pups minus commission and Sire fee is 3,100 and 12 pups minus commission and Sire 8,400. Do remember! A litter of pups has to be in a sanitary almost quarantine environment until their first shots at 6 weeks. There will be a lot to clean and you will have to be able to watch the safety of the pups in those first two weeks. There will be expenses in whelping supplies, bedding, cleaning supplies, food and shots/wormer (wholesale). This is a real responsibility and can be so very fulfilling. Patience will be needed.)
Puppy Paperwork- Liability- Grounds for civil suit to you? If you breed your female to more then the one arranged BDA male. (Allowing mutiple males to a fertile female can bring you a litter with the individual pups of different Sires.) If you transmit the venereal disease. If a client does not receive the pup they chose. If you cause any non arranged expenses. .
What if a Dam or Sire owner want a pup in lue of payment from one of their own litters? If you want first pick it would be in your best interest to say so before the litter is announced. And like all deposit holders you will need to put down a 300 dollar non refundable deposit to demonstrate a penalizing commitment. If you change your mind later you will have caused other interested buyers to pass making it, in some cases harder to find new buyers. When it is time to choose you will have the option to purchase a Breeders Choice pup and its requirements or another of the litter. Both the Dam and Sire owner will just make 1500 less your total sales or stud fee. The Sire may have a shipping fee. If the Dam owner picks a B.C. pup the balance of the pup will be pulled from the funds she made from the litter sales. If the Sire wants a B.C. pup the difference between the deposit, stud fee and total will need to be produced by the pups sixth week. |
